Cookie notice
One cookie, and it is the one that keeps your demonstration session yours.
This notice covers veridatum.co.uk, including the demonstration environment at /app. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains what we do with personal data more generally.

veridatum.co.uk (first party) | Strictly necessary | Signed session cookie. On the public pages it holds nothing. Once you sign in to the demo it records that you entered the password and an opaque random identifier for your private throwaway copy of the demo database, so that your clicks do not affect anyone else's session. | Browser session. Cleared when you close the browser, or immediately if you use Exit. |
Why there is no cookie banner
We do not use analytics, advertising, profiling or social media cookies, so there is no consent banner on this site. Under regulation 6(4) of the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003, consent is not required for a cookie that is strictly necessary to provide a service you have asked for — which is what the session cookie above is. If we ever add anything that is not strictly necessary, we will add a consent banner that genuinely blocks it until you agree, and update this page before it goes live, not after.
Controlling cookies
Every browser lets you see and delete the cookies a site has set, and block them entirely. Blocking the session cookie will not affect the public pages, but you will not be able to sign in to the demonstration environment, because it is the mechanism that keeps your demonstration session separate from everyone else's.
